Capricorn New Moon

Today is the last new moon of the year, and it's an especially powerful one because it's so close to New Year's Day. Don't forget to set your intentions, either for this moon cycle or for the year 2006. It is not necessary to have a full ritual to set your intentions; you can just take a few minutes and think about them. Writing them down is very helpful as well. A student in my last moon cycle manifestation class shared with us that it is not a coincidence that the concepts of spelling out a sentence and casting a spell (as in witchcraft) are using the same word. The word to spell comes from spells that are cast because it was believed that writing something down (i.e. spelling something out) had great creative and manifestation powers. It was believed that if you wrote down what you wanted, you would end up getting it. So I encourage you to write down your intentions on this new moon.
