All you have to do is ask

Today I heard from two different friends who recently decided to spontaneously ask the universe/the powers that be/god/whatever-you-want-to-call-it for help, and within 24 hours they got what they asked for.

Justin, a musician, writes in an email to all of his friends:

So, I have to admit I'd been pretty depressed about music for quite a while. It seemed like nothing was happening and nobody was noticing anything I did. So, I prayed to the universe for a sign.

A day later I got a call on the phone from ASCAP, my performing rights organization.

They told me my song No Truth Anymore was chosen by ASCAP (The American Society of Composers and Publishers) to be critiqued in front of an audience at their big Songwriting EXPO in Hollywood. I had to be down in Hollywood in three days!

Amparo writes about her apartment search:

It was getting close to the deadline of when I said I'd be out and I was getting nervous. One day, before I left on my search, I lifted my hands in the air and said "deliver me to divine residence". I repeated this 4 times as I faced North, South, East, and West. I pictured what I wanted...really focused on it. Later, while driving to see a listed apartment, I drove by a "for rent" sign. Immediately I liked the vibe and the elderly landlord sitting outside the place waiting for visitors. [...] I filled out the application that day and I got it!

Wow! How inspiring and encouraging. It really can be that simple if you believe in it. Try it for yourself. You can always ask for help. I think the universe secretly likes to be talked to and acknowledged, so start talking to it as if it were a person and tell it what you want. You might just get it.
