Heiko Wenig publishes a monthly energetic weather forecast. He takes into account the prevalent energies and emotions on the planet and predicts the energy for the next month. If you have been feeling unusually emotional in December (as I have), the energetic weather could be the reason. Here is Heiko’s December forecast (translated from German):

The energy of the current time affects primarily the heart, throat and crown chakras and is more intense than it has been in a while.
This leads to basic life issues increasingly coming to the surface, sometimes in connection with overriding spiritual levels.
Concretely it means that heart chakra themes are very much addressed as well as patterns that reveal themselves, specifically those related to love and unconditional love.
Especially in couple situations, tension or even knee-jerk reactions can now occur that lead to resolutions, assuming that old connections and patterns are open to be dissolved and released.
Since particularly the heart and throat chakra are being addressed on the energetic plane, issues that developed in the past, for example in childhood, and that have been covered up with positive traits and energies, are now coming to the surface in order to be cleared.
Because of this, people often relapse into adolescent or childhood patterns. If somebody was, for example, very confused and disoriented during their adolescence, it now needs to be dealt with one more time.

The goal of the current processes is the emotional liberation and release of deep-seated pains in the heart chakra. It is about the fundamental liberation of the soul.
If the underlying issue is resolved, it often feels as if a thick layer of clay has been dislodged from the energy field.

In the interpersonal realm, basic life issues of emotional nature are brought to the table.
For example, people that are mentally and spiritually very stable, clear and positive, are confronted on the emotional plane with negative energies that were stored there a long time ago. As a result, the attitude may arise in some that “my whole life is a pile of crap” because that is how it feels, despite the positivity on the other planes.

In long-term relationships of any kind people may react differently than usual because these old patterns are suddenly coming to the surface. People that are known to actually have a very different mindset and attitude suddenly act contradictingly and show a different face forward.
Adding to this is that the earth energy is very strong, i.e. one cannot escape the process. The floodgates have been opened, and the energy flows uninhibitedly. A lot of strength lies in this, however, and there is a great chance of experiencing a very meaningful emotional expansion. As a “side effect” it is now possible to arrive at one’s highest form of expression on earth. This frightens some people but if one uses the energy and resolves these basic life issues, one can now experience everything one has achieved on the spiritual and mental planes in the personal and interpersonal realms as well.

Because the energy rushes into the body very intensively from below and then flows into the upper chakras where it influences old patterns, the energy flow back into the earth is weakened. This is why many people are being confronted by grounding problems or having a hard time arriving here on earth.

The trend of the last months to make decisions is continuing and deepening. It is less about things like “will I keep my job” and more about decisions regarding whether “I want this kind of life, I want this type of love, I want this type of joy.”
Control of the energy flow currently lies less within oneself. Instead one is carried away by it. On the other hand, things seem like they cannot be changed and one feels blocked.
One can decide whether to just throw in the towel or to confront the issue once and for all.

It is also important to be very forgiving with the people in one’s life because the energy is stronger and more intense than it has been in a long time. Many people are especially emotional and will easily burst into tears.
On the physical plane, headaches are very common, but also nausea and stomach problems.

And if one simply faces the process, one is able to allow a fundamentally new and positive direction in one’s life and to use the strength that is currently being set free.

I received an email from my aunt today regarding a Venus transit coming up on June 8. Since Venus is the planet of love, this will be a powerful time to release love-related conditioning that is no longer serving us. I have translated the text from my aunt from German to English. The Year of Venus 2008

In the early morning hours of June 8, 2008 Venus will disappear behind the sun completely and not reemerge slowly until June 10. We will be witnesses to an event of the century.

Venus has always been a symbol for love. Can Venus indeed influence love? And if so, what effects will this event have on our ability to love and our love life?

An astronomic event like this, in which Venus entirely disappears behind the sun, is extremely rare and not experienced by every generation. The last time was on December 5/6, 1878, the next one will be on December 7/8 in the year 2121.

The moment Venus steps behind the sun on June 8, 2008, her influence on the Earth and on our lives disappears as well. It is akin to a total shutdown of the Venusian love vibration. Then, on June 9, the disappearance of Venus will reach its climax.

With respect to love and relationships, we all carry a wealth of programs within ourselves, including especially those about self-respect and self-love. Many of these programs are beliefs we have adopted from the way we were raised. But just as many programs exist as a result of our heart having experienced pain throughout life. Through dramatic experiences in particular, programs develop that we have created ourselves. These programs are extremely effective, even if we have long forgotten their creation. It suffices to allow ourselves a few quiet minutes on this day in which we tune into our heart. We can connect with our own heart, with our own ability to love, much like with a good friend. We can talk to our heart. And we can tell our heart that now, this moment, is the time to release and give back everything that burdens and afflicts it. We can tell our heart that the time has come for renewed freedom, renewed vitality, and renewed joy.

Then, on June 10, 2008, Venus steps back out from behind the sun. She starts affecting us anew. Her influence, her vibrational patterns start beaming at us again in new forms.

Love will be reborn in this moment!

On this day, if we allow ourselves to dedicate a few moments to love, we can do the following: We can talk to our own heart the way we would to a friend. We can feel our heart and the pulse of our heart by placing our hands in the center of our chest and looking inward.

And then we can image that a rose, a red, wonderfully fragrant rose, starts blossoming in our heart. The feeling of this blossoming rose is meant to run through the entire body.

And we will experience that inside ourselves as well, love is reborn!

(I found this in an old email I sent to a group of people about three years ago.)

Yesterday as a late birthday present I got The Chakra Energy Cards, which were on my wish list: Healing Words for Body, Mind, and Soul For All Forms of Energy Healing

I was very excited and immediately jumped into playing with the cards and reading the accompanying book. That’s when I realized something. Lately I have been noticing that my conscious self often doesn’t understand the answer or solution to a problem right away, but the subconscious does. And after mulling over it for a while, the subconscious will translate it for the conscious.

For instance, recently there was this problem at work (I’m a computer programmer) that I had been trying to solve for weeks. I had spent many hours on finding a solution and always given up. But last Monday before work I meditated and tried to use my psychic vision to find a solution. In my psychic vision I saw a fence that I couldn’t get over. I tried to climb over it but couldn’t because there was barbed wire on top. I tried to take it apart with pliers but that took too long. Finally I ended up crawling underneath the fence like a dog. After the mediation, I was like “Okay, that’s pretty vague. How is that supposed to help me with this programming problem at work?”

But guess what. Within half an hour of getting to work that day, I had the solution! After weeks and weeks of trying, I finally looked at the problem from a totally different angle (maybe from *underneath*?) and I had finally solved the problem. I was psyched.

Another example happened yesterday, and the Chakra Energy Cards were involved. A week ago, as I was walking back from lunch with some friends on Folsom St, I noticed a street sign for a very small street called Langton. My eyes saw it and my brain said “Huh, okay, Langton.” A few blocks later a guy asked me and my friends if we knew were Langton is. Nobody did, except for me. Then yesterday, I looked at a studio apartment near Howard and 6th. (I just started looking for studios in the SoMa area yesterday.) On my way back home, I ended up near the intersection of 7th and Folsom and walked by Brain Wash and noticed Langton Street again. It looked very nice and quiet and had some trees. I decided to walk down Langton to see if there were any For Rent signs. But there weren’t. So I walked back home.

That’s when I found my Chakra Energy Cards in the mail. The first question I asked the cards was “What can help me to find the perfect studio?” The card I drew was one of the 5th Chakra cards and said “I completely and lovingly accept all of my possibilities of expression.” Again, I thought “Hm. That really has nothing to do with finding an apartment.” But about fifteen minutes later I had the idea of doing another Craigslist search, specifically for Langton. It was a long shot because Langton is tiny. And guess what. There was a cheap studio listed on Langton Street that sounded really great. But it was mistakenly listed under Financial District, which is why I hadn’t found it when I was doing searches for SoMa studios. Well, I called and the studio is still available, and I am going to look at it next week!

My point is: When you get an answer to one of your questions, even if the answer doesn’t immediately make sense to your conscious self, your subconscious goes to work anyway and will eventually come up with an answer that your conscious self can understand. This is something that I am definitely going to keep in mind and also teach others.

My aunt shared a story with me via email not long ago. It was in German. When trying to find the English version, I learned that the story was originally told by a Dutch Catholic priest named Henri Nouwen. Unfortunately I couldn’t find an English version of the story. So I took what I found on this German page and translated it to English myself.

A womb had twins growing in it. Their joy grew in proportion with their consciousness: “Isn’t it wonderful to be alive?”, said one to the other one day. “Oh yes,” said the one spoken to and splashed around a little with his small hands in the water in which they were swimming so that it made little waves. Over time the twins began to discover their world. In the process they found the cord that connected them to their mother and fed them.
Delightedly they said: “How big must be the love of our mother that she shares her own life with us!” Weeks passed that way and they noticed themselves changing. “What does it mean that we are changing over time?” one of them asked the other. He answered: “It means that our time in this world will be over soon.” “But I don’t want to go,” replied the other and added: “Do you actually believe in life after birth?” “Yes, it exists. Our life here is only meant for us to grow and to prepare us for life after birth, so that we will be strong enough for what awaits us.” “Nonsense, that is not possible. What is that supposed to look like anyway, life after birth?” “I don’t know exactly either. But it will certainly be brighter than here. And maybe we will walk around and eat with our mouths?” “What nonsense! Walking around, that’s impossible. And eating with the mouth, what a strange idea! We have the umbilical cord that feeds us, and it’s too short for walking around even now.” “No, it’s definitely possible. Everything is just going to be a little different!” “We are going to lose our life cord. But how are we going to live without it? Others before us may have left this mother’s womb, but none of them came back and told us that there is life after birth. No, birth is the end, I am absolutely sure! Nobody has ever come back from ‘after birth.’ Life ends at birth, afterwards everything is dark and torture.” That’s how one of them, the pessimistic one, fell into a deep grief and said “If conception ends with birth, what purpose does life in the mother’s womb have? It’s senseless. Maybe there is no mother?” “But she has to exist,” the other argued, “how else would we have gotten here? And how would we have stayed alive? Even if I don’t know exactly what life after birth is going to look like, we will at least see our mother then and she will take care of us.” “Mother? You believe in a mother? Tell me, have you ever seen our mother?” asked the first one, “maybe she only lives in our imagination, and we just made her up in order to better understand our life. Where is she supposed to be?” “Well, here, all around us. We are and live inside her and through her. Without her we cannot be.” “Nonsense! I have never experienced a mother, so she doesn’t exist.” “But sometimes, when we are really quiet, you can hear her sing. Or feel her touch our world…”

The last days in the mother’s womb were filled with many questions and big fears. Finally the moment of birth arrived. When the twins left their world, they opened their eyes and what they saw exceeded their boldest dreams and imagination.
